The same day, Wang Yang and Huang Huahua, Governor of Guangdong Province, as well as leaders of 9 Pearl River Delta cities and chief leading cadres from some Guangzhou sites of central units visited the National Torch Program in Guangdong Zhongshan Equipment Manufacturing Base. Accompanied by Chief Accountant of CSSC Sun Yunfei, Assistant President of CSSC Yu Baoshan, Wang Yang viewed the base and heard reports on the construction situation of the base. Han Guangde, the President of the Company introduced that a section-building center with a capacity of 100,000 tons which would settle the bottleneck in the sections construction of Guangzhou and even the whole southern China will be built. After the foundation-laying on December 16, 2008, the whole work of the base would be carried out high-efficiently with the strong support from Zhongshan Municipal Government. At present, the section-building center project has begun to fill operations which would be completed in July, then will start the piling process in November and complete the investment in June next year. President Han expressed that Zhongshan city gave great support to the previous work and project construction of the base, and we also hoped to get further support from Guangdong Provincial Party Committee and Guangdong Provincial Government. Wang Yang immediately answered to give full support, and then he asked about the future construction and production plan of the base.

It is known that CSSC signed a framework agreement on the development of ship manufacturing project of 3200 meters long coastline, 1000 meters in depth and 320 hectares of land planning with Zhongshan Municipal Government on December 16, 2008. The section-building center with a planning land of 800 acres, the construction of which would be in the charge of the Company, and is expected to start production in the first half of 2010.
